Joseph Mott focuses his legal practice in the areas of insurance bad faith claims and personal injury litigation. Knowledgeable about insurance claims and coverage, he represents plaintiffs against their insurance companies in claims of benefits. “If an insurance company doesn’t do right by their insured,” he says, “I represent the insured against the insurance company.”
Joey has deep and extensive ties to Nevada. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. He then studied law at the William S. Boyd School of Law, where he was on the editorial board of the Nevada Law Journal. During his time at Boyd, Joey externed for the Honorable Bruce A. Markell, Federal Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Nevada.
He began his legal career at the Law Offices of Steven J. Parsons, where he successfully represented hundreds of clients and recovered millions of dollars in payments and benefits from insurers. He also regularly represented small businesses on contract, collection, and employment matters. Joey also has considerable experience in litigating class action cases. He has lectured at several continuing legal education seminars and regularly mentors other lawyers regarding litigating insurance disputes.
A 4th generation Nevadan, Joey enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two young daughters. He enjoys being outdoors and is an avid sports fan. Playing golf at Augusta National Golf Club is on his bucket list.
